Be on Lookout for Harvest Dangers (PSA Radio Script)

(Time: 45)

Your chance of getting hurt in a farm-related accident is highest in the summer.

But you're more likely to get killed during harvest.

More Iowans are killed in farm-related accidents in the fall than at any other time of year. Most farm-related injuries occur during the summer months.

Fall farm activities are dangerous because many involve powerful equipment designed to harvest and move crops. Farm operators are under stress to get fields harvested, often under marginal conditions.

Use extra care in your farm activities these next few months. Your life depends on it.
