Know What to Do in Farm Accidents (PSA Radio Script)

(Time: 30)

(sound of siren/ambulance with voiceover)

Seconds count in farm accidents. What you do the first few minutes after a farm accident can save lives -- if you know what to do.

Practice what you'd do in an emergency. Enroll in a first aid class, better yet, enroll a son or daughter in the class. There's also a new SAFE FARM publication about emergency response at your nearest Iowa State University Extension office.

Of course, we hope you never have to hear this sound. But if you do, we want you to know what to do.

This radio public service announcement script was distributed by Iowa State University Extension as part of the Safe Farm Program. Safe Farm promotes health and safety in agriculture. It is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Iowa State University, and a network of groups that serve Iowa farm workers and their families. Distribution date: December 1993.
