Abstract
Searching for an effective way to include operators in the seat selection process, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is proposed as the solution framework. The AHP supports the group decision-making process and the use of ergonomic criteria with different and incommensurable metrics. This article shows the results of an evaluation of three seats by five tractor operators with respect to given structured and weighted criteria and subcriteria. The aggregation of the operator priority vectors is performed according to their importance in the decision group. After the synthesis is done, the outcome prioritization of the list of seats incorporates the operators' preferences as well.
