Aaron Yoder, Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health
The graphic conveys for every foot of entrapment an increasing use of force is needed for extraction. For instance, if a person is buried in a foot of grain, roughly 170 pounds of force is needed to extract the person.

OSHA requires that employees who enter stored grain must wear a harness or lifeline, with observation present.
