Winnowing-Fan Injuries in Polonnaruwa

AUTHOR ABSTRACT

Fifty-two patients were injured by paddy winnowing fans during a period of two years. The commonest site of injury was the hand. More than one third of these patients were disabled as a result of the injury. There were no deaths. These injuries are preventable.
