Safe Clothing - Foot Protection

Wearing inadequate shoes may expose you to a number of dangers in the agricultural business. If you work closely with animals, you should protect your feet and toes from being crushed by wearing sturdy boots that have good slip-resistant treads and a steel-toe.

Sturdy boots with steel toes help protect your toes while in the mattock with animals when cleaning the barn.

When working with animals in areas with manure or mud, it is important to use plastic boots that can be washed off or removed before you go into other areas of the farm.
