Safe Clothing - Eye Protection

Eye protection should always be worn when working in a shop. Shop work often results in dust in the air, metal projectiles from hammering and grinding, and sparks from grinding and welding.

To protect against all these hazards, be sure to wear industrial safety glasses. Face shields help protect you against sparks, as well as splashing liquids, but they do not protect against metal projectiles. Therefore always wear industrial safety glasses beneath the face shield.
