Nebraska FACE (Fatality Assessment Control Evaluation)

The FACE Program focuses on identifying factors that increase the risk of work related fatal injuries. Identification of these factors will enable employers and employees to develop effective safety programs to prevent fatal injuries in the workplace. The goal of this program is to show a measurable reduction in the number of traumatic workplace fatalities in Nebraska. FACE evaluators do not determine fault nor do they enforce compliance with state or federal occupational safety and health standards. Although the Nebraska Department of Labor FACE staff may conduct joint activities with the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Nebraska Department of Labor does not enforce OSHA regulations.
