AgSafe, Coalition for Health and Safety in Agriculture
There are a total of twelve safety modules in the AgSafe Project. These are:
- Safely Working Around Agricultural Machinery
- Protective Clothing
- Safely Handling Pesticides
- Basic First Aid
- Safely Working Around and With Electricity
- Working Safely in the Farm/Ranch Shop
- Back Injury Prevention
- Defensive Driving
- Preventing Slips and Trips
- Proper Use of a Respirator
- Safely Working With and Around Farm/Ranch Animals
- Safely Working With and Around Tractors
Each of the twelve training modules includes an English language script, a Spanish language script, and a set of overheads/slides. The overheads may be printed on transparency film in a laser printer, used as posters when printed on regular paper, or may be displayed as a "slide show" from the NASD CDROM. The overheads are not currently available from the WWW site.
The Safety modules are intended to be used as a supplement to an agricultural employer's basic safety training program and is in no way to be used as a substitute for a thorough job training.
